POI (KAPA HAKA)

DESCRIPTION

MATERIAL: Plastic, Foam, Wool, Cord, Polyester Thread, Tape.

COLOUR: Please take into account that the colour could be lighter due to photo lighting or due to pixel or computer shading. Every bundle of wool will vary slightly in colour based on each batch we receive from our supplier. However, we will stick to the same colours and designs.

SHORT POI LENGTH: We provide two sizes for our Koru and Kapa Haka Poi. The shorter version measures 25 cm, which we suggest for beginners. The longer option is 28 cm, perfect for those who have invested more time in practice for performances. This measurement pertains to the plaited stem, or Taura, and does not account for the poi head, or Upoko, along with the pom pom tassel, or hukahuka.

LONG POI LENGTH: 65cm.

MAKE SURE YOUR POI FITS BEFORE ORDERING:. If you put the upoko in the palm of your hand, the hukahuka should reach your elbow crease. Typically the size 25cm fits most youth and woman. We make a 28cm and this typically fits men or those with long arms. We also make long poi 60cm or 65cm depending on your height.
